This campaign has been all about you, the people of Ohio’s 10th Congressional District.
From the time I launched this campaign, I pledged that I would make sure that Congress invests in the forgotten areas of this district: investing in more quality jobs and revitalizing our workforce, making sure that every wage is a living wage, building new hospitals and points of care for people who have lost their health facilities, lowering prescription drug costs and making sure that everyone can get decent, quality healthcare as a human right, expanding Wright Patterson Air Force Base to treat climate change as a national security issue, protecting abortion rights, civil rights, and voting rights, and protecting the fundamental aspects of democracy. Those issues are not going away, and I will continue to use my voice and my platform to advocate for those causes.
We ran this campaign on a shoestring budget with bare bones, elbow grease, and remarkable volunteers who poured themselves into this campaign. To everyone who knocked thousands of doors in this congressional district, everyone who put a yard sign out, everyone who donated $1, 5, 10 dollars a month, and everyone who had conversations with friends and family members about the importance of voting, thank you for everything.
I would like to thank all of you for your votes and placing your trust in me. Though I will not represent you in Congress, our effort is not over, and our struggle for a more just society continues.
